Info

On May 21, 2026, Holy Fuck will play Sala El Sol in Madrid as part of Sound Isidro. The Toronto project led by Brian Borcherdt and Graham Walsh operates on the border between indie rock and experimental electronic music, with a performance approach that avoids backing tracks and embraces the risk of real time. Bass and drums converse with synthesizers, drum machines and hand-manipulated effects, seeking hypnotic pulses, crunchy textures and gradual shifts in intensity built step by step.

Across their trajectory—from the self-titled debut (2005) and LP (2007) to Latin (2010)—they refined the contrast between simple melodic motifs and rougher layers. With Congrats (2016) and Deleter (2020) they pushed the rhythmic side further, adding vocals and fragmented pop turns without losing the directness that defines their live sound. Their sets move between krautrock, noise and techno-adjacent beats, with repetitive structures, measured crescendos and controlled improvisation.

On stage the group functions as a flexible rhythmic machine: pieces that stretch, tense and find their shape in front of the audience. It’s an occasion to see how electronics are assembled with the energy of rock, in a raw, physical format, as part of Sound Isidro.
