Info

Black Country, New Road arrive at Sound Isidro on 8 June 2026 at Sala La Riviera in Madrid. Formed in London around the Windmill, Brixton scene, the sextet blends bass, drums, guitars, saxophone, violin and keyboards into a rock sound that skirts post-rock, post-punk and art rock, with turns toward jazz and klezmer. After the singles "Athens, France" and "Sunglasses" and their debut For the first time, their second album Ants From Up There closed the chapter with Isaac Wood; since then, vocal duties have been shared and the songwriting has moved toward clearer melodies and a kind of chamber-song approach.

Live, the band has consolidated that phase, documented on Live at Bush Hall (2023): pieces that build in layers, tempo shifts, spoken passages and choruses that ebb and flow, with saxophone and violin weaving motifs over taut guitars and subtle pianos. At La Riviera they will present that recent repertoire alongside reimagined readings, playing on the contrast between their more expansive and more restrained compositions, with a highly collective band dynamic that gives the concert a continuous narrative from beginning to end.
