Info
On April 19, 2026, at Dabadaba (Donostia / San Sebastián), Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek present Yarın Yoksa, their new album. At the forefront, Derya’s voice and bağlama meet the soul-psychedelic drive of the group, in a sound crafted with production by Leon Michels. Live, their repertoire alternates reinterpretations of Anatolian tradition with original songs, featuring arrangements that stretch and release tension, rock and pop detours, and a melody guided by the bağlama. Everything is built from collective interplay and an organic energy designed for the stage.
They define themselves as “outernational,” beyond borders: Derya, a German of Turkish parentage, sings and plays bağlama; Helen Wells (drums) comes from Berlin with South African roots; Graham Mushnik handles the keys; Antonin Voyant alternates between guitar and bass. That blend sustains a distinctive language that propels Anatolian music toward the contemporary, between psychedelia, soul and a European groove. On stage, Derya’s voice occupies the center while the band works contrasts of rhythm, texture and tension, leaving room for the ensemble’s dynamic interaction.
