Stephan Eicher returns to the stage with Poussière d’Or, an album born of a simple need: to silence the noise of the world by sitting at the piano or with a guitar on his knees. It began with piano harmonies and guitar melodies, then words signed by his writer friends Philippe Djian and Martin Suter. Shared with close musicians, these seeds of songs grew into an album; he now performs them live. On 13 October 2026 at La Gare du Midi in Biarritz, Eicher presents these new pieces, alternating between piano and guitar, accompanied by musicians who carry the studio’s momentum onto the stage. Active on the French-speaking scene since the 1980s—from Grauzone to his solo albums—he moves between chanson, pop and folk, with a taste for literary collaborations that shape his repertoire. With Poussière d’Or, this union of words and melodies takes form in concert, in a set that highlights both the songwriting and the musicality. He shares them simply, like a loaf of bread still warm in the center of the table, as he puts it.
