Gente de Zona

On July 3, 2026, Gente de Zona arrives at the Plaza de Toros de Murcia with their straightforward blend of cubatón and Latin pop. Born in Havana in the early 2000s, Alexander Delgado’s project took its definitive form when Randy Malcom joined in 2011, bringing his background in Cuban salsa. Live, the duo fronts the show with lead vocals and harmonies, supported by a driving rhythmic foundation and a brass section that brings the performance closer to the pulse of Cuba’s great orchestras, filtered through the urban sensibility of Caribbean clubs.

Their repertoire blends Spanish-language rap, timba-inflected melodies and reggaetón beats, with choruses many recognize from their collaborations. “Bailando,” with Enrique Iglesias and Descemer Bueno, and “La Gozadera,” with Marc Anthony, opened a path the group has continued to explore on albums such as Visualízate, En letra de otro and Otra cosa. Onstage, those songs sit alongside new pieces and reinterpretations that the duo adapts to their format, playing with breaks and call-and-response. The result is a set that invites dancing while keeping a nod to the tradition that shaped them in Havana.
