Hombres G « Los Mejores Años de nuestra vida »

On October 3, 2026, Hombres G will take the stage at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona with “Los Mejores Años de nuestra vida”, a retrospective that traces a history beginning in Madrid in 1982, in the midst of the Movida Madrileña. David Summers, voice and bass, together with Rafa Gutiérrez and Dani Mezquita on guitars and Javier Molina on drums, formed a quartet of pop rock and Spanish-language rock with new wave and pop‑punk echoes, and lyrics that turn to everyday life, humor and the twists and turns of romance.

Their early albums — “Hombres G” (1985), “La cagaste… Burt Lancaster” (1986) and “Estamos locos… ¿o qué?” (1987) — established a repertoire that crossed Spain and Latin America and even made its way into film at the end of the 1980s. After a pause in 1992, the group returned in 2002 and went on to release studio albums and tour with works such as “Todo esto es muy extraño” (2004), “10” (2007), “Desayuno continental” (2010), the collaborative acoustic “En la playa” (2011) and “Resurrección” (2019). In Barcelona, the quartet revisits its songbook amid nostalgia, romantic-comedy vibes and everyday reportage, with that hallmark of clear melody and pop energy that still sustains their live shows.
