On 16 May 2026 at the Comédie de Lille, Abdelkader Secteur presents Marhaba, his third solo show. Rooted in reality, his stand-up unfolds like a conversation, moving between colloquial Arabic and French. Family scenes, neighborhood vignettes and back-and-forths between Algeria and France: he alternates characters, anecdotes and wordplay to probe everyday life and its small incongruities. True to a restrained staging, he favors the rhythm of the narrative and closeness to the audience, like a discussion that wanders and rebounds. Marhaba continues the path of a comedian shaped by the diaspora, attentive to detail and cultural nods, connecting immigration experiences with the pulse of the present. It showcases his eye for observation, stories that engage with everyday life, and switches between languages that open up new arenas for play.
