Trained at McGill and active since the late 1960s, he first emerged with the acoustic contours of his 1970 self-titled album before pivoting in the mid-80s to keyboards and voice on Keyboard Fantasies, a cassette built from soft synth textures, repeating figures and lyrics steeped in nature and inner landscapes. Rediscovered in the 2010s, he returned to the stage with a repertoire that now threads together those early folk songs, ambient-minimal pieces and recent compositions from The Ones Ahead.
