Cordovas

On 21 May 2026, Cordovas bring their Nashville-shaped blend of country rock, folk and Americana to Pavillonen in Grenaa, Denmark. Built around songwriter and bassist Joe Firstman, the band plays like a tight collective: shared vocals, guitar work that moves from fingerpicked patterns to wiry electric riffs, and songs that swerve into open, jam-friendly stretches without losing their backbone.

Formed in the early 2010s, Cordovas forged their sound on the road, stacking harmonies and chiselling arrangements through long tours and residencies. The self-titled debut set the roots-and-70s-rock foundation; That Santa Fe Channel sharpened the vocal architecture; Destiny Hotel and The Rose of Aces, released on ATO Records, pushed a more cinematic Americana feel.

On stage, voices trade leads and blend in close harmony, solos circulate, and the set navigates from acoustic ballads to mid-tempo grooves with a light psychedelic tint. It’s music shaped by communal living and constant playing, carried by Firstman’s grain and the group’s tight interplay at Pavillonen, Grenaa.
