Deafheaven

Deafheaven lands at AB&B - Amager Bio in Copenhagen on August 25, 2026 with a set that traces the fault line between black metal, shoegaze, post-rock and alternative rock. Formed in San Francisco in 2010 around vocalist George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy, the band built its identity on long, contrast-heavy pieces where blast beats and harsh vocals collide with melodic guitar work, atmospheric layers and almost dream pop passages. From the raw urgency of Roads to Judah to the luminous harmonies and ruptures of Sunbather, then the darker contours of New Bermuda and the expansive writing of Ordinary Corrupt Human Love, Deafheaven keeps shifting its balance without losing focus.

In recent years, Infinite Granite has pushed the clean vocals and shoegaze textures further, while preserving a metal-bred tension beneath the surface. On stage, that evolution translates into wide dynamic arcs, slow burns and sudden surges, feedback-drenched crescendos and pockets of quiet that reset the pulse before the next wave. Between ferocity and clarity, riffs ring out, rhythms swell, and the band leans into contrasts rather than choosing sides, stitching together a set that moves as much through atmosphere as through impact.
