South African songwriter Sean Koch brings his folk-leaning indie writing to RUST, Guldbergsgade 8, 2200 Nørrebro, Denmark on 1 October 2026. Raised in Kommetjie near Cape Town, he writes songs shaped by coastal life, travel and the people around him. Acoustic guitar leads the way, with light percussion and layered harmonies, weaving simple melodies with roots influences and a hint of psychedelia.
After early online singles, his 2016 EP Natural Projection opened the road to club and festival tours across Europe. The debut album Your Mind Is A Picture followed in 2019, building a catalog that looks at nature, movement and human connection. On stage he plays solo or with a small band, stretching arrangements between intimate acoustic takes and more electric colours, while keeping a clear folk-pop pulse that suits tight, attentive rooms.
