Hanne Boel

Danish singer Hanne Boel steps on stage with her band on 15 November 2026 at Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center in Aalborg. Trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, she emerged in the early 80s between teaching and small ensembles before joining funk outfit Blast, a grounding that fed her taste for groove, R&B colors and layered backing vocals. From the late 80s on, her solo path spans soul and R&B that gradually opened to pop shades and more intimate climates, always with a clear line for melody.

Live, Boel works close to the song. The band frames her direct vocal with a rhythm section anchored in funk, keys carrying harmonies and brass lines that lift the choruses. The set moves through her catalogue, from early soul-leaning cuts to later, pared-back pieces reimagined for a full ensemble.
