Bleachers Forever

Bleachers, the project led by songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff, brings to Toronto a live setup that blends indie pop, alternative rock and 80s new wave shades. Since the early 2010s, Antonoff has folded New Jersey narratives and New York pulse into synth-driven songs with brass, backing vocals and tight pop structures. On stage, the studio project opens into a larger band that leans on horns and choral parts, giving the tracks extra punch and texture.

Across Strange Desire (2014), Gone Now (2017), Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night (2021) and Bleachers (2024), the repertoire shifts from uptempo rushes to more bare ballads. The writing turns around nostalgia, the suburbs and family ties, while Antonoff’s work as a producer feeds collaborations and crossovers between mainstream and indie scenes. Choruses climb, horns answer, and the arrangements keep a warm, analog grain.
