Kataklysm is headlining on August 6, 2026, at The Starlite Room in Edmonton. Hailing from Montreal, the Canadians forged a death metal that slipped from the “northern hyperblast” of their early days toward more structured, melodic songwriting—without abandoning the growl or the impact. From Sorcery to Goliath (2023), the four-piece navigates between speed, syncopated riffs and choruses with a dark groove.
Six Feet Under comes in support with its medium-paced, massive death metal born in Tampa. Around Chris Barnes’ guttural voice, the heavy, repetitive riffs impose a blunt swing, from their debut Haunted to more recent releases like Nightmares of the Decomposed. A school of groove that hits straight.
Wormhole brings a tech-slam touch from Baltimore: devious structures, blistering accelerations and weighty breakdowns, sprinkled with science-fiction imagery. From Genesis (2016) to Almost Human (2023), the band delivers modern, technical death metal designed for impact in the room.
Snakepit, a Calgary death metal outfit, opens the bill with a direct, abrasive sound—ideal for kicking off the hostilities.
