Melanie C

Melanie C is set to perform on 29 October 2026 at the Melkweg in Amsterdam in a show that spotlights her solo career after the Spice Girls. As Sporty Spice she rose to fame in the mid-1990s; subsequently Melanie Chisholm developed her own sound blending pop, rock and electronic influences. Her debut album Northern Star (1999) set the tone, featuring collaborations with Bryan Adams and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, followed by Reason (2003). With her own label, Red Girl Records, she shifted toward more direct pop-rock and more introspective ballads on Beautiful Intentions (2005) and This Time (2007). The Sea (2011) and Stages (2012) explored mature pop with soul influences and selections from musical theatre. On Version of Me (2016) and the self-titled Melanie C (2020) the emphasis moved toward electronics and dance-pop, closely connected to club scenes and LGBTQ+ events. Live she moves effortlessly between energetic productions and more subdued moments. In Amsterdam she will bring that wide range together, from uptempo tracks to more intimate songs, with the experience of a singer who has long balanced studio work and stage performance.
