On April 24, 2026 at La Marbrerie in Montreuil, Balancê presents an experience in which music and movement respond to one another. Driven by Afro-Brazilian rhythms and open to hybrid musical languages, the project brings together more than twenty musicians and dancers in a shared circle devoted to encounter, dialogue and improvisation. Conceived by Drielly Oliveira (Atelier Cor Cura) in collaboration with Julien Colardelle (Souffle Collectif), each edition is accompanied by a scenography conceived for the moment. This date features Deize Tigrona, Hatyla Gabriel, NSDOS, Lidiop and guests.
Deize Tigrona, a figure of funk carioca born in Cidade de Deus, imposes a direct, rhythmic flow that has resonated as much in Rio’s bailes as on international stages. From Injeção to her recent releases, she blends quotidian reportage with club culture, bringing the raw energy of baile funk back to the stage.
NSDOS, a multidisciplinary artist, dancer and musician-researcher, creates his own instruments and interactive devices to compose a biomusic in dialogue with gestures, materials and space. His performance explores the connection between movement, data and electronic pulses.
Hatyla Gabriel, a Brazilian guitarist and cavaquinho player, moves between popular traditions and contemporary influences. His playing highlights the rhythmic and melodic richness of Brazilian music, inviting circulation between stage and dancefloor.
Lidiop, a singer-songwriter born in Dakar, mixes reggae, afro and pop. Based in France, he has shaped his style across streets, metros and festivals, with songs that emphasize transmission and sharing.
Gathered in the center, artists and dancers compose in real time a roda (circle) where music calls forth movement, and vice versa.
