Big Thief brings the Somersault Slide 360 Tour to Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton on September 30, 2026. Formed in Brooklyn in 2015 around singer and guitarist Adrianne Lenker, the band — with Buck Meek on guitar, Max Oleartchik on bass and James Krivchenia on drums — sits between indie rock and folk, guided by intimate songwriting and sharp, unadorned arrangements. Their path runs from Masterpiece (2016) and Capacity (2017), where spare electrics frame Lenker’s voice, to U.F.O.F. (2019), which opens a hazier, psych-leaning space, then Two Hands (2019), recorded in a raw, live-room spirit. In 2022, the double album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You widens the palette with rural folk textures, lo‑fi pop shades and taut rock.

Onstage, the quartet lets songs stretch and contract, moving from hushed ballads to grainier, slow-burn passages without losing the thread.
