Info
On July 4, 2026, Kes brings the Roots, Rock, Soca Tour to RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto. Formed in the mid-2000s in Trinidad and Tobago around singer Kees Dieffenthaller with his brothers Hans and Jon and bassist Riad Boochoon, Kes built its reputation on the Port of Spain carnival circuit before taking its sound across the Caribbean and into diaspora festivals in North America and Europe. The band’s live approach centers on soca with strong calypso roots, brushed with pop, reggae and touches of R&B, driven by guitars and a rhythm section built for the stage.
Known for tracks like Wotless and Savannah Grass, Kes blends catchy melodies with street-party atmospheres and grooves that keep the crowd moving. On this tour, the group leans into its catalogue and regular collaborations from around the region to explore the different shades of contemporary soca, without losing the spontaneity that shaped its early club and carnival shows. A chance to catch a band that treats the live set as its true home, straight from Trinidad to Toronto.
