Tribal Gaze

Tribal Gaze bring their Texas-bred death metal to The Baby G in Toronto on May 3, 2026. Formed in Longview and tied to the new wave of American death metal, the band carves a dense, unvarnished sound: thick guitars, heavy, straightforward rhythms and guttural vocals that stay readable. Tempos swing from direct, fast surges to slower, weighty passages, keeping the writing focused and austere, with a feel that hits hard without frills.

Raised on the underground circuit, Tribal Gaze first surfaced with the EP Godless Voyage (2021), then pushed their contrasts further on The Nine Choirs (2022). Now signed to Nuclear Blast, they return with Inveighing Brilliance, sharpening an old-school foundation with a tighter modern edge. On stage, the set leans on impact-first riffs, shadowy atmospheres and head-down grooves, with new material alongside cuts from their early releases. The name may hint at unseen forces, but live it’s all presence and precision.
