Leaves'Eyes

Leaves’ Eyes will perform on 13 March 2026 at Metropool, Enschede. The band was formed in 2003 between Stavanger and Ludwigsburg from the collaboration of singer Liv Kristine with members of the German band Atrocity. From Lovelorn and Vinland Saga the band set a course where symphonic metal collides with gothic hues and Nordic folk. Tales of seafaring, Viking sagas and Norse mythology form the common thread, carried by the interplay of melodic singing, rougher voices, choral passages and expansive orchestrations.

With Njord, Meredead and Symphonies of the Night, Leaves’ Eyes refined that mixture with melodic accents and a touch of medieval atmosphere. King of Kings took a more conceptual approach focused on Scandinavian history. Since 2016 the Finnish singer Elina Siirala has taken over the reins; with Sign of the Dragonhead and The Last Viking the group has continued the narrative line. Live, Leaves’ Eyes layers symphonic textures and folk touches over solid riffs: a set in which Viking imagery and the dynamics of the vocals give contrast and momentum.
