Info
On March 5, 2026 Rowwen Hèze will play at the Toon Hermans Theater in Sittard. The band from America, in the Dutch province of Limburg, has carved out its own place in the Netherlands’ pop scene since the 1980s with songs sung in the Limburg dialect. Live, their focus is on stories from the village and everyday life—about family, work, the fair, and the quiet moments in between. Those lyrics land on a mix of folk rock, Tex-Mex, polka and brass-band influences, driven by accordion, horns and a tight rock section.
On stage, danceable riffs and rolling rhythms sit effortlessly alongside waltzes and polkas. The accordion adds colour, the brass section pushes things forward, and the band keeps it close to its roots: melodies that stick immediately and choruses you’ll sing along to without even realizing it, even if you don’t speak the dialect. Expect a set that shifts between rousing pub songs and more wistful tales, leaving room for the classics as well as tracks that underline Rowwen Hèze’s storytelling character. In Sittard, that familiar sound meets the energy of a group that has forged its regional language and stage presence into a recognisable live experience.
