Wibi Soerjadi

On 30 August 2026 pianist Wibi Soerjadi will give a garden concert at Villa Peckedam in Diepenheim. Trained at the Dutch conservatories and formed in a tradition in which the Romantic repertoire is central, he has built a career since the late 1980s with solo recitals and appearances with symphony orchestras. His programmes regularly bring together Liszt, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Schumann with his own compositions and solo transcriptions of orchestral themes. That combination characterises his approach: familiar works alongside pieces that bear his own musical signature, with careful attention to melodic lines and tone colour.

Beyond the stage, Soerjadi remains active with studio and live recordings, media projects and masterclasses, always with the piano at the centre. For this garden concert he will present a selection that showcases the lyrical side of the Romantic idiom and allows room for both virtuosic passages and more intimate moments. In the small-scale setting of Villa Peckedam’s garden the music sits close to the audience and the repertoire acquires a direct, personal resonance.
