Wibi Soerjadi

On 11 July 2026 pianist Wibi Soerjadi will give an intimate garden recital at Villa Peckedam in Diepenheim. The Dutch pianist of Indonesian descent made his name with the Romantic repertoire and is unmistakably at home with Liszt, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Schumann. In this exclusive outdoor concert he weaves well‑known works together with his own compositions and refined piano transcriptions of orchestral themes. His approach emphasizes clarity of touch, a singing line and tonal color, leaving room for contrasts between lyricism and rhythmic energy. The informal garden setting enhances the directness of his playing: articulation, dynamics and phrasing are experienced up close, without the filter of a large concert hall. Since the late 1980s Soerjadi has appeared on the major Dutch stages, in recitals and with orchestras; that experience resonates here in a solo programme that reaches the heart of Romanticism while allowing space for his own personal voice.
