On 29 April 2026 at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, Stephen Sanchez brings his retro-pop universe to the stage. The Nashville‑based singer‑songwriter, born in Sacramento in 2002, writes ballads with a nod to 1950s rock ’n’ roll and 1960s orchestral pop. After Lady by the Sea and the EPs What Was, Not Now (2021) and Easy on My Eyes (2022), he crafted a narrative album around a fictional crooner with Angel Face (2023). Live, he puts voice and melody front and center: romantic songs, vintage touches and a pop sound with a hint of soul, presented solo, as a duo or with a band. His set explores that story in an intimate, cinematic atmosphere, where arrangements and vocal harmonies evoke just enough nostalgia without lingering in pastiche.
Also on the bill is Tors. The trio from Devon – brothers Matt and Theo Weedon with Jack Bowden – focus on tight harmonies, clear guitars and songwriting that revolves around relationships, family and everyday life. Since the mid‑2010s they have released singles and EPs alongside many one‑take recordings that highlight their near‑a cappella group vocals. On stage, Tors blend acoustic folk and contemporary pop into concise, melodic songs that work as well in a hall as in short, direct formats. A complement that colors the evening with choral voices and sweeping choruses.
