Miles Kane

On 15 March 2026 Miles Kane plays the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The guitarist and songwriter from Birkenhead cut his teeth with The Little Flames and The Rascals, and through The Last Shadow Puppets with Alex Turner developed a taste for orchestral sixties pop. As a solo artist he emphasises indie rock with garage and glam edges: punchy riffs, compact melodies, British hooks.

At the Melkweg he will push forward "One Man Band", supplemented by favourites from Colour of the Trap and Don’t Forget Who You Are through to Coup de Grace and Change the Show. The set leans on tight playing, call-and-response vocals and direct choruses, with room here and there for a slow build or a short burst.

Collaborations with Alex Turner, Jamie T or Lana Del Rey are audible in his songwriting, but live it’s about a close-knit band, short arcs of tension and guitar lines that set the pace. A club atmosphere suits that approach: up close, unadorned, with the emphasis on songs that keep moving.
