Gloryhammer

On 25 October 2026 Gloryhammer will play TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The Scottish-Swiss symphonic power metal band, formed in 2010 by Christopher Bowes, stages its shows as a continuous narrative: each member portrays a character from their own universe, where medieval fantasy and space opera intersect. Live, this translates to catchy choruses supported by choral vocals, fast tempos, extended keyboard lines and guitar themes that verge on European power metal.

The set mines all chapters of their saga: from Tales from the Kingdom of Fife and Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards to Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex and Return to the Kingdom of Fife. Since 2023 Michele Guaitoli has handled the vocals; the older material thus takes on a different timbre, while the more recent songs advance the storyline. Theatrical touches, costumes and a healthy dose of audience interaction turn the concert into a compact journey through their fictional chronicle—between knightly tales and cosmic chaos—with a focus on melody, energy and tight ensemble playing.
