Playaz Recordings has been part of the Drum & Bass scene since 1996. Founded by D&B icons DJ Hype and Pascal (originally also Zinc), Playaz soon became associated with energetic Jump-Up, club-ready cuts and distinctive bass tracks. Releases like “Mr. Happy,” “Busted” and “Killers Don’t Die” still fill dancefloors around the world today.
30 years of Playaz: three decades of musical releases and a sound that has been carried from London’s underground clubs to global dancefloors.
We celebrate 30 years of Drum & Bass on 30 May 2026 at 9:30 PM at the Edelfettwerk in Hamburg with a line-up that continues to represent Playaz. For everyone who loves D&B, who has witnessed its history, or who wants to be part of this celebration.
