The Four Play project was founded in spring 2016 to challenge the then often very serious and strict structures of Berlin’s kinky and sex-positive scene. Its aim was to provide, in particular to young and inexperienced people, a space where they could explore various aspects of the kinky lifestyle and their own sexuality in a safe, moderated environment.
With dozens of artists per event, Four Play is to be understood more as a festival than as a traditional party.
Since Four Play has been held at the KitKat Club, the event spans five to six dance floors as well as several additional performance areas. In addition to a carefully curated and diverse musical programme — from techno, house and disco to psytrance, jazz and soul — Four Play offers performative, interactive formats. These either take place at fixed stations within the club or are integrated directly into the music programme.
