On April 24, 2026, Funky Times comes to Jubez in Karlsruhe. The German funk trio has made a name for itself since 2020 with jam videos and collaborations, and has taken the step from online platforms to the stage. Their setup relies on springy bass lines, precise guitar riffs, warm keyboard solos and a soulful voice that brings 1970s funk into the present. Supported by saxophonist Candy Dulfer—who introduced them on her show Candy’s World and later invited them to Amsterdam for her concert series Candy’s Choice—the band has reinforced its live focus.
In Karlsruhe, Funky Times will present new tracks and fan favorites in compact, groove-oriented arrangements. Tight interplay, clear hooks and brief improvisational windows structure the set; breaks and call-and-response passages drive its momentum. The sound remains direct and danceable, with space for bass-drum interaction and varied keyboard textures.
