On April 18, 2026, Poison Ruïn land at The Garrison in Toronto with Hymns From the Hills. The Philadelphia punk outfit leans into its grim, folklore-tinged storytelling and blunt-force drive, pushing that crackling, tape-scorched sound into wider shapes. Live, they stitch serrated riffs to pounding rhythms and a dusky mood, shifting from marching churn to hushed, nocturnal passages without dropping the pulse.

The new material widens the frame beyond the peasants-and-serfs allegories of earlier records, sketching a starker world of spirits crossing sunless deserts, withered hillsides, and mind's edge torture relics. The palette tightens and expands at once: hacksaw post-punk angles in the spirit of Killing Joke, blast-beat flashes, crisp analog synth lines, and ambient drifts that nod to Scott Walker or The Durutti Column. It’s still Poison Ruïn: lean melodies, martial cadence, lashing guitars, now cut with new textures that color the set and push the narrative deeper into the dark.
