On 19 April 2026 Antony Szmierek will come to the Karlstorbahnhof in Heidelberg. The musician, author and spoken-word artist from Manchester blends narrative spoken vocals with indie-pop melodies and electronic grooves. His lyrics draw their power from everyday scenes, urban stories and intimate observations, carried by a relaxed flow between rap and poetry. Live, he alternates depending on the moment between full-band intensity and a stripped-down setup, stays close to the audience and gives the words plenty of space without losing sight of the hooks.

On the bill is his debut album Service Station at the End of the Universe, recently released as a digital deluxe edition. The setlist features fan favorites like The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Fallacy, The Great Pyramid of Stockport, Yoga Teacher and Angie’s Wedding, supplemented by new tracks such as That Face You Make When It’s Raining and Girlypops.
