Info
Montreal’s Béton Armé is back in town, bringing its francophone oi! to Monarch Tavern in Toronto on April 3, 2026. Anchored in classic street punk codes and trimmed with melodic turns and a hardcore bite, the band sings in French about the city’s daily grind, precarity, social tension and the small solidarities that hold a neighborhood together. On stage, it’s built for impact: straight-ahead rhythms, riffs that hit fast and stick, and chanted choruses meant to be answered from the floor.
Shaped in DIY rooms and on independent punk bills, Béton Armé keeps it compact and collective, with songs that favor drive over ornament. After a string of short releases, the 2022 album Second Souffle tightened the writing and gave the set a more cohesive line without losing the raw edge of their early tracks. A set that weaves those cuts into a no-frills show where the vocals lead the charge and the guitars push forward in unison. Montreal oi!, sung en français, in the heart of Toronto — Béton Armé at Monarch Tavern, April 3.
