Acopia

Acopia land at The Garrison in Toronto on March 9, 2026. Formed in Naarm/Melbourne by Kate Durman, Lachlan McGeehan and Morgan Wright, the trio write pop that moves at a patient pace, built on atmosphere, repetition and small shifts. Voices melt into soft synths and discreet percussion, with melodies surfacing slowly rather than rushing the moment. Their path runs from the debut Chances (2022) through a self-titled LP (2023) to Blush Response (2025, Scenic Route), a release that leans into nuance and restraint while tightening the songcraft.

On stage they favour a pared-back setup and measured dynamics, letting space and texture pull the focus. The trio have toured the UK, Europe and Australia, played Wide Awake, Les Nuits Botanique and Golden Plains, and shared bills with Bar Italia, Tirzah and Raisa K, placing their sound in a zone between electronic pop, dream pop and ambient currents. This Toronto date catches Acopia in that steady, emotive register they’ve honed: slow-blooming songs, intimate contours, detail at the centre.
