Gauvain Sers

After four years away, Gauvain Sers returns with Boulevard de l’enfance, a fourth album written between Paris and the Creuse. On stage, he reopens this travel diary where the personal intersects with the political, where childhood sheds light on the adult world. Now a father, he casts a fresh gaze on his surroundings and brings songs nourished by neighborhood cafés, country roads and those moments of real life that give rise to both indignation and tenderness.

This new chapter mixes everyday stories, slightly stinging memories and portraits at a human scale. You hear lyrics that tell without forcing, understated humor, more straightforward impulses when it comes to saying things plainly, and a way of traversing emotions as if they were familiar terrain. In concert, Gauvain Sers unfolds these songs like one moves from one café table to another, between confidences and vignettes, with a direct style of writing that truly resonates.
