On April 28, 2026, at Espace St‑Denis (Théâtre St‑Denis) in Montreal, Celtic Woman presents the choral textures and fiddle lines that characterize the group. Created in Dublin in the mid‑2000s by musical director David Downes for a televised concert, the project assembles a rotating roster of Irish vocalists alongside a solo violinist. Their repertoire moves fluidly between Celtic tradition, Irish folk, orchestral pop and classical crossover, reworking Gaelic airs and well‑known English‑language ballads for voices, strings and light percussion.
Onstage, the programme is arranged in themed sequences: close harmonies, individual solo moments, instrumental interludes and ensemble passages delivered with a clean, cinematic sensibility. Across tours and recordings — from the early self‑titled album through A New Journey, Destiny and Postcards from Ireland — the material consistently features layered vocals and accessible orchestration while incorporating new singers from classical, musical theatre and traditional backgrounds.
The setlist balances Irish‑language pieces with contemporary songs, anchored by clear harmonies, violin solos and a polished orchestral accompaniment.
