On April 5, 2026, the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver welcomes HEALTH and Carpenter Brut, two acts meeting at the crossroads of industrial rhythm, noise rock and synth-driven cinema.
Born from Los Angeles’ DIY hub The Smell, HEALTH bends noise rock toward industrial textures and shadowy electronics. Jacob Duzsik, John Famiglietti and Benjamin Jared Miller sketched their grammar on the jagged 2007 debut and Get Color in 2009, then cracked it open to club mutations with the DISCO remix series. Their Max Payne 3 score sharpened a cinematic streak that runs through Death Magic and Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear, where dense beats, saturated synths and a more forward vocal presence frame compact, physical tracks. The DISCO4 volumes extend the approach through collaborations spanning metal, electro and dark pop, a hybrid that lands with precision live.
Behind Carpenter Brut stands French producer Franck Hueso, known for a synthwave that fuses electronic drive, metal grit and cues from 80s action and horror. Revealed by the TRILOGY EPs, he shaped a signature built on aggressive synth lines, martial rhythms and retro-futurist atmospheres. Leather Teeth plays like a glam-metal origin story; Leather Terror pushes further into a heavier, darker vein. On stage, lights, projections and a rock-oriented setup amplify these cinematic tracks into a tight, physical show.
