Info
Luka Bloom will bring The Beloved Tour to the Music Hall Worpswede e.V. in Worpswede on 22 May 2026. The Irish songwriter, born Barry Moore in Kildare and brother of Christy Moore, has been pursuing his own path under the name Luka Bloom since the late 1980s: pared-down folk songwriting, the acoustic guitar front and center, and lyrics that move between everyday life, travel and social issues. On stage he prefers the solo format — guitar, voice, intimacy — with rhythmic strumming and clear melodies that leave room for stories.
His discography ranges from Riverside (1990) and The Acoustic Motorbike (1992) through Turf and Salty Heaven to Keeper of the Flame, where original songs meet newly arranged covers. Later albums such as Innocence, Eleven Songs, This New Morning and Frugalisto continue this trajectory: ballads, travel chronicles and songs with conviction. Live, Bloom blends familiar repertoire with newer material, relying on direct engagement and a dense atmosphere. The Beloved Tour concentrates precisely on these elements: lean arrangements, precise guitar work and stories from Ireland and beyond — delivered by a voice that remains close.
