Café Del Mundo: GuitaRevolution

Café del Mundo bring their program GuitaRevolution to the Metropol Theater Bremen on 28 March 2026. The German flamenco guitar duo Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian rely on the immediate dialogue between two concert guitars: original compositions meet reinterpretations in which the language of modern flamenco blends with influences from jazz, classical music and world music. On stage a play unfolds of pulsating compás patterns, percussive rasgueados and quiet lines, creating space for improvisation and probing the dynamics between the two guitars.

With GuitaRevolution, Café del Mundo concentrate their approach to contemporary guitar music: open in form, precise in rhythm and melodically focused. Active on European stages since the 2010s, the duo has been refining their playing between groove, contrast and dialogue. In Bremen the intimate duo setting takes center stage—acoustic, close to the instrument, with a repertoire that ranges from new pieces to selected arrangements. The result is a concentrated performance that picks up the energy of flamenco and translates it into contemporary soundscapes.
