Ariel Posen: Future Present Tense Tour

With his blend of roots rock, blues, folk and soul, Canadian guitarist and songwriter Ariel Posen brings his Future Present Tense Tour to Privatclub in Berlin on 17 February 2026. Originally from Winnipeg, Posen first became known as the guitarist for The Bros. Landreth before going solo and focusing on songs, voice and intricately detailed arrangements. His trademark is melodic slide playing that leads the melody rather than stealing the spotlight. On How Long, Headway and Reasons Why, slow ballads, airy atmospheres and groovier numbers alternate; live he shapes these into sets that breathe, build and pack a punch at the right moments. Posen sounds warm, organic and precise, with plenty of space between the notes and a band that keeps the pulse. Between tours in North America and Europe, sessions and collaborations, he has sharpened his signature: songs first, then the licks. In Berlin he will perform new material alongside fan favorites and demonstrate how contemporary roots music can sound today, close to the song and close to the audience.
