Ásgeir - EU Tour 2026

Ásgeir arrives at Hole⁴⁴ in Berlin on 12 September 2026. The Icelandic singer‑songwriter, born in Laugarbakki in 1992, has established himself with a pared‑down, melodic approach: folk as a foundation, sparing electronics and a voice that stays calm even as the arrangements expand. His debut Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2012) made him known at home; many lyrics come from his father, the poet Einar Georg Einarsson. A year later, the English version In the Silence, adapted by John Grant among others, opened the door to Europe.

Since then Ásgeir has repeatedly rebalanced the mix between acoustic instruments and synths: Afterglow (2017) deepened the electronic side, Bury the Moon and the Icelandic sister album Sátt (2020) preserved the intimate storytelling, and Time On My Hands (2022) brings it all together in slow grooves, discreet keys and airy guitars. Live he blends Icelandic and English songs, builds the pieces gently and leaves space for subtleties: clear melodies, soft pulses, a subtle forward momentum. An evening that stays close to the song while remaining open to atmospheric breadth.
