Info
Klaus Hoffmann will bring his songs and stories to the Kulturetage in Oldenburg on April 25, 2026. Born and raised in Berlin and active since the 1970s as a singer and actor, he combines German-language chanson with understated pop ballads. On stage, voice, piano and guitar take center stage; the lyrics revolve around everyday life, memory and the city of Berlin. Since the late 1970s he has incorporated Jacques Brel into his repertoire in German and performs these adaptations live alongside his own songs. The concert relies on clear arrangements and a narrative approach, shaped by his theatre experience and his roots in the singer‑songwriter tradition. Between ballad and chanson, an arc of tension unfolds from older pieces to newer work—no effects, with a focus on text and melody. An evening with Klaus Hoffmann at the Kulturetage in Oldenburg: pared-down, storytelling and direct.
