MADI DIAZ - The Fatal Optimist European Tour 2026

Madi Diaz brings her The Fatal Optimist European Tour 2026 to Berlin. On 18 February 2026 at mikropol in Berlin, the US songwriter will present her blend of folk, pop and alternative country — pared-back in sound and close to the lyrics. Raised in Pennsylvania and shaped by a stint at the Berklee College of Music as well as years in Nashville and Los Angeles, Diaz early on focused on voice, guitar and clear melodies. From Skin and Bone (2007) through Plastic Moon (2012) and Phantom (2014) to History of a Feeling (2021, ANTI-) and Weird Faith (2024), a line runs through her work: narrative songs, precisely articulated emotions, and production without excess. Live, Diaz works with subtle dynamics between Americana and indie rock, leaving room for pauses and emphasis and giving the words space. The set links older tracks with newer material, revolving around intimacy, doubt and the courage to call things by name. Without gimmicks, carried by voice, guitar and a sense of timing that delivers the stories plainly and precisely.
