Svinkels Family & Friends

Svinkels arrives at 9-9bis in Oignies on December 11, 2026 for a Family & Friends evening, surrounded by close friends and collaborators. Led by MCs Gérard Baste, Nikus Pokus and Mr Xavier, the group has shaped a rap that twists conventions, mixing blunt humor, a knack for détournement, and nods to rock and punk. On stage it’s a rapid back-and-forth, with choruses made for singalongs, heavy beats and cuts first provided by DJ Pone and later by DJ Myst. It’s an unapologetic crew vibe: banter, interludes, group entries and exits, and a few guests dropping in to add their two cents.

Born in the mid-1990s, Svinkels released Bons pour l’asile, Trois points de suspension and then Dirty Centre, establishing their alternative rap at the crossroads of rap and rock scenes. After a break in the early 2010s, the crew reformed in 2017 and released Rechute in 2018, keeping the festive spirit while incorporating more contemporary sounds. This Family & Friends date at 9-9bis promises to be collective and lively, with a set that draws from their whole repertoire, from crowd-pleasing classics to more recent tracks built for the live stage.
