Info

Kevin Morby brings his narrative folk-rock to History in Toronto on June 5, 2026. From his start in New York as bassist for Woods and cofounder of The Babies, he moved into solo work with Harlem River and Still Life, shaping a sound that blends lean indie rock, Americana tones and detailed storytelling. Signed to Dead Oceans, he widened the scope with Singing Saw and City Music, shifting between hillside moods and late-night streets, followed by the searching Oh My God and the stripped-back Sundowner. His recent releases, This Is a Photograph and More Photographs (A Continuum), keep digging into memory, family threads and American places.

On stage, Morby moves easily between quiet solo pieces and a tighter band energy, letting songs breathe without losing their center. The set draws across his catalog, from early folk sketches to more electric cuts, with the spotlight on songwriting, voice and a steady pulse. A night for listeners who like songs that unfold scene by scene, anchored in plainspoken melodies and the kind of detail that sticks after the last chord fades.
