On March 20, 2026, at La Cave Argenteuil (Argenteuil), Sahra Halgan proudly raises the voice of Somaliland. She blends traditional songs with modern sounds to tell of a territory, a language and a history shaped by the pursuit of freedom and hope. Between ancestral melodies, electric pulses and contemporary arrangements, her repertoire moves unabashedly between intimacy and collective energy. Rooted in Somali culture, her music speaks in the present tense, with rhythms that invite a gentle trance, catchy refrains and lyrics that maintain a commitment to engagement while remaining firmly in the realm of feeling.

Opening the evening, Gondhawa kicks off with psychedelic rock fueled by garage energy and a back-and-forth between Western and non-Western modes. The Angers-based power trio makes guitar, bass and drums resonate over shifting rhythms, emphatic bass lines and melodic motifs inspired by various traditions from Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Their universe extends to an invented language, gondhawii, and a fictional world that give their songs a distinct depth.
