Primitive Man + Kollaps

Primitive Man arrives in Lyon on April 26, 2026, at Rock n’Eat Live, 32 Quai Arloing, for a sludge/doom set of unapologetic density. The American trio stretches tempos, stacks heavy riffs and leaves a trail of feedback that eats at the space. The guttural vocals cleave through a wall of bass, breaths are rare, the descents slow and ponderous, and every ascent shatters into an opaque rumble. On stage there’s no showmanship: sustained tension, precisely calibrated volume, thick textures — music to be experienced as much as heard.

As a special guest, Kollaps, an industrial/noise project born in Melbourne and led by Wade Black, sets a raw post‑industrial atmosphere: hammered percussion, struck metal, saturated drones and screamed vocals. The trio navigates between post‑punk heritage, power electronics and abrasive dissonance. From “SIBB” to “Mechanical Christ” and “Until the Day I Die,” the group hones a confrontational songwriting aimed at stage impact, balancing contained violence with sudden detonations.

An evening where crushing sludge and noisy industrial intersect in a shared pursuit of tension and immersion.
