Villagers Of Ioannina City + Black Willows

On March 31, 2026 at L’Antirouille in Montpellier, Villagers of Ioannina City arrive with a psychedelic rock at the crossroads of stoner and the traditions of Epirus. Since 2007 the band has woven massive guitars and slow rhythms with clarinet, bagpipes and flute. Riza laid the foundations in 2014; Age of Aquarius opened the field of possibilities wider in 2019. On stage, Villagers of Ioannina City (VIC) stretch the soundscapes, create a hypnotic tension and glide the set between melancholy and electric surges. An experience conceived as a journey, nourished by the energy captured on Through Space and Time – Alive in Athens.

Alongside them, Black Willows, a Swiss stoner-doom outfit, carves a darker groove: low-end riffs, stretched tempos, fuzz-drenched washes and incantatory vocals. The band sculpts atmospheres, lets repetition rise and shapes the sonic material like a shared rite. A slow, dense immersion that complements the psychedelic dimension of the evening.
