Juliette Magnevasoa

Info

After ten years as part of the duo Pauline et Juliette, Juliette Magnevasoa steps out solo with a tightened repertoire centered on her guitar and a clear, unadorned voice. Spotted notably by Zaho de Sagazan and Francis Cabrel, she continues her path as a singer‑songwriter, probing the themes that move her.

Of Malagasy origin and adopted in France, she pieces together elements of her story to create songs that address identity, family ties and intimate displacements, using simple words and a direct presence.

On stage, Juliette presents the tracks from her first record, Guitare nouée sur corps étanche (literally: “Guitar tied to a watertight body”). A voice‑and‑guitar set in which the writing takes center stage, between whispered confidences and ear‑catching choruses, supported by guitar work that serves the lyrics. No showmanship, just the essentials: an intimate, close performance, spare arrangements and a way of storytelling that establishes genuine proximity with the audience. See her on 5 March 2026 at Théâtre La Piscine - L’Azimut in Châtenay‑Malabry.
