On May 10, 2026, The Starlite Room in Edmonton hosts Crowbar, the New Orleans outfit formed in 1990 when Kirk Windstein and Jimmy Bower stepped away from late‑80s thrash to forge a slower, heavier direction. Influenced by The Melvins, Carnivore, Trouble and Saint Vitus, with a Black Sabbath‑meets‑East Coast hardcore edge, the band helped define what’s often called the NOLA sound. Windstein remains the anchor, guiding Crowbar through twelve albums — from Obedience Thru Suffering to Zero and Below — marked by slow tempos, dense guitars and a gritty vocal presence. The current lineup features Windstein on vocals and guitar, Matt Brunson on guitar, Pat Bruders on bass and Tommy Buckley on drums.
Quietus joins the bill to set the tone for a night rooted in heavy riffs and thick atmospheres.
Vain picks up the torch with a set built for volume and tension, keeping the momentum tight.
Pre‑Breaker rounds out the lineup, delivering the final push before Crowbar takes over The Starlite Room.
