Les Bodin's « Grandeur nature »

Les Bodin’s, the comic duo formed by Vincent Dubois and Jean-Christian Fraiscinet, put their boots back on with Grandeur Nature. Since the 1990s, they have brought to life Maria, a farmwoman with a forthright way with words, and her son Christian, a big fellow who stayed on the farm. Through accent, everyday agricultural situations and rapid-fire dialogue, they probe family, generational gaps and a rural France rubbing up against the present. Originally created outdoors on a farm in Touraine and later adapted for the stage, Grandeur Nature sets a full-scale farm set and features physical performance designed for live theatre.

In 2027, they extend the adventure with a new chapter, an overt nod to current events: “Votez Les Bodin’s Grandeur Nature.” The duo brings their universe to the Zénith de Caen on 27 March 2027 to reconnect with the public through this popular theatre that blends situational comedy, quick-witted exchanges and a sharp view of rural life. Maria and Christian don’t move, but they continue to capture the spirit of the times in their own way, with the attention to detail and rhythm that have become their trademark.
